To ensure that Portal for ArcGIS is configured properly for your locale, you should specify the Portal for ArcGIS account to use the locale of your machine.
The account can be running as the Local System account or a different account, such as a local or domain user. Depending on how the account is configured, the instructions for specifying the locale will vary. Follow the steps below to get started. If the account is running as Local System
- Log in to the machine hosting Portal for ArcGIS with an account that has administrative privileges.
- Open the Control Panel and click Region and Language.
- Click the Formats tab and change the Format drop-down menu to the language you prefer.
- Click the Keyboards and Languages tab and change the display to the desired language.
- Click the Administrative tab and change the system locale to the desired language. Click Copy settings.
- Enable the Welcome screen and system accounts option. Click OK.
- Click Apply and click OK.
If the account is running as a local or domain user
- Log in to the machine hosting your portal as the Portal for ArcGIS account.
- Open the Control Panel and click Region and Language.
- Click the Formats tab and change the Format drop-down menu to the language you prefer.
- Click the Keyboards and Languages tab and change the display to the desired language.
- Click the Administrative tab and change the system locale to the desired language. Click Apply.
- Click OK.
